L7 – The Principal
AI-native. Principal-led. Operator-stays. For small business owners who deserve top-of-market work at prices traditional consulting won't quote.

Kenneth Leftwich, Principal.

Former Senior Vice President, Strategy Execution at Tirebuyer/Treadsy. Gartner Fortune 50 Supply Chain Strategic Partner. $106M optimized at Lowe's. M.S. Supply Chain at Michigan State (3.90 GPA). Welch MBA. The career L7 Shift was built on.

Most consultants with this background charge $400 an hour and decline meetings with businesses under $5M in revenue. L7 Shift is the firm built so small business owners get the same senior thinking, at a price a real small-business P&L can carry.

L7 is principal-led, not principal-only. I run every engagement. The L7 team (senior practitioners across engineering, UX, brand, and advisory) carries the load alongside AI agents L7 builds internally. The whole point of the firm is leverage; the whole point of being principal-led is that the senior judgment never gets handed off to a junior.

The work, in order.

20 years inside complex businesses.

The thesis.

What he stands for.

I did not start L7 Shift because I wanted to build another consulting company. I started it because I got tired of watching good ideas move too slow.

For nearly two decades I worked inside complex businesses. Retail, supply chain, ecommerce, operations, enterprise transformation. I sat in the meetings where strategy was shaped. I saw what leadership wanted, what customers needed, and the same pattern repeating every time. The company had the ambition. The team had the pressure. The customer had already moved on. Execution was stuck waiting on the old model.

Corporate trained me to see the gaps. Entrepreneurship gave me permission to fix them my way.

I have led strategy. I have run operations. I optimized $106M in supply chain at Lowe's. I have built ecommerce programs. I have sat with stakeholders from the floor to the C-suite. I have seen how much money, time, and momentum gets lost when businesses treat execution like a long, linear process.

Then AI changed the math.

Not the hype version, not “add a chatbot to your website.” The operational shift was real: senior judgment paired with AI agent teams that actually work could compress months into weeks.

That was the moment L7 Shift became inevitable.

I did not need to imagine what small business owners needed. I had already lived it. I built Scat Pack CLT from scratch in 24 hours. Brand, website, customer flow, portal, automation, analytics. Built systems a traditional agency would have dragged out for months, because the market does not reward waiting.

Then I looked around and realized most small business owners do not need more advice. They need the thing built. The booking flow. The brand. The customer journey. The follow-up. All connected, all working, all yours.

L7 Shift is the firm I built so that the senior judgment never gets handed to a junior, the execution never gets dragged out for quarters, and the price tag does not start at fifty grand.

Strategy only matters if it moves.
